Rathnam Movie Introduction
“Rathnam” (transl. “Gem”) is an action movie from 2024 in the Indian Tamil language, co-produced by Stone Bench Films, Zed Studios, and Invenio Origin. Directed by Hari. Vishal plays the main character in the movie, while the supporting cast also includes Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yogi Babu, Murali Sharma, Hareesh Peradi, Mohan Raman, and Vijayakumar. After working together on “Thaamirabharani” and “Poojai,” Vishal and Hari are collaborating on a third movie.
As it is Vishal’s 34th main role, the movie was formally announced in April 2023 with the working title “Vishal 34.” In December 2023, the official title “Rathnam” was made public. July 2023 marked the start of principal photography, which was conducted in Thoothukudi, Trichy, Karaikudi, Vellore, Tirupati, and Chennai. The last day of filming was in late January 2024. Devi Sri Prasad created the soundtrack, while T. S. Jay handled the editing and M. Sukumar handled the photography.

The primary character of the film “Rathnam,” Rathnam, serves as a go-between for Panneer Selvam, an MLA in Vellore. Rathnam assumes the duty of defending Malliga, a medical intern. Rathnam feels a great deal of protectiveness towards Malliga because she resembles his late mother, Loganayagi.
A vicious land thief by the name of Beema Rayudu and his brothers Subba and Raghava Rayudu are pursuing Malliga. Rathnam must struggle to protect her from their unrelenting pursuit. The narrative tracks his attempts to keep Malliga safe as well as the difficulties he encounters.
